GameThread: Red Sox @ Orioles, 1:05
David Hernandez vs. John Lackey. It's being broadcast by the Boston radio so you can watch it on Gameday.
That's all I got.

Nothing much happening
No score. Hernandez, 1 hit 3K through 3 IP. I’m only half listening, though, so that’s from the box score.

baltimore up 6-0 in the top of the 9th
castillo pitching.
only 4 hits for the sox today. another quality effort by the o’s today….hope that extends into the season.
I mean we're already halfway to the mark of wins against the sox from last year!
that excites me. is that sad?

Pitching looks like it's ready to start the season
Aside from Millwood and Guts. Millwood, I’m not too worried about. Guts? Don’t get too attached to that uniform, Jeremy.

5 scoreless for hernandez today
although i take that with a grain of salt considering he had some brilliant performances last year and wasn’t so great the rest of the time.

If the bullpen pitches like it did in Spring Training
(which is not likely) That would be a godsend.
"Chicks who dig home runs aren’t the ones who appeal to me, I think there’s sexiness in infield hits because they require technique. I’d rather impress the chicks with my technique than with my brute strength. Then, every now and then, just to show I can do that, too, I might flirt a little by hitting one out."-Ichiro

i was there for it today. just got back to nyc ...
hmmm. highlights were:
-d. hernandez struck out two bosox scrubs and scutaro to get out of a bases loaded jam.
-there was a weird play at first where tejada hit a chopper up the first base line and apparently was punched out after going out of the baseline to avoid a tag; trembley came out to argue for a while
-justin turner had a bases-clearing double lateish and it chased all the sawx fans out of ed smith stadium
- it was 80 degress in sarasota and it’s 33 here in brooklyn UGH
- lackey pitched pretty well for boston
you flew down for the day?
hard core. all respect, man.

Orioles.com is talking about how this means Hernandez is still in the running to start
I think I had enough of that last year. I have no problem with him being the 1st one getting the call when/if something goes wrong. I just think last year we saw that he has some things he still needs to work on in the minors. This is still way better then having Baez Hendo and Eaton fighting for spots.
