PrintJeremy Guthrie takes the ball for the Orioles tonight, opposed by Javier Vazquez. Guthrie's start was rained out yesterday and Alfredo Simon was originally scheduled to start this game. Since the game is on MASN tonight, I'm thankful to see Guthrie instead. Let's hope I'm still saying that when the game is over.
Brian Matusz pitched in an intraquad game today and Roch has a lot of good info about it in his blog. No offense to Guthrie but I would have rather he pitched in the intraquad game so I could have seen Matusz.

Coming out of a lower tier school, i’ll be lucky to have a job at all when i graduate next year, much less the sort of high salary job people typically think of.
And i wouldn't have had much of a shot at biglaw anyway
But now all the biglaw rejects are taking the jobs i could have gotten, pushing me even further down the food chain.
I'm in Philly now and really hoping not to leave
but if things are as rough next spring as they are now, i may have to broaden my search

Overall the pitching wasn’t nearly as bad as the 11 runs implies. A few of those long balls would have been fly outs on a normal day.

Reimolds first double I think would have stood. The second would have definitely been an out and Luke’s too. I was just trying to feel better about the pitching. The offense has stunk all spring, but we know it will get better. The pitching on the other hand. . .
