Around SBN: Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant's Post-Game 5 Outfits

GameThread: Tigers @ O's, 1:05 p.m.

I can't take much time to write this, so here's the skinny: Bradley Bergesen is pitching for the Orioles, our old buddy Dontrelle Willis for the Tigers. The game is being broadcast on Gameday Audio and locally on 105.7 The FAN.

Let's Go O's!

Anyone with front page capabilities, feel free to gussy this up.

Gotta teach until 2

You’re on your own until then

Anyone in Loudon County...

…. interested in having a satellite party for the Os opener?

If not, I may just hike the 80 miles down to B-more/Dundalk to watch it.

Im pumped… one week away!

by Wieters Wieners on Mar 30, 2010 1:07 PM EDT reply actions

not this time

but maybe at some point during the summer. i’m up in loudoun when i’m out of school

by twistedlogic on Mar 30, 2010 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions

why is the wind always blowing out at these games

i just checked the box score and it says wind 12mph out to CF, you’d think it would have to be blowing in sooner or later

by swilhelmross on Mar 30, 2010 1:10 PM EDT reply actions

Not necessarily

Wind isnt some random thing, there’s regular air currents that will more often than not cause the wind to blow in the same direction. Depends on the orientation of the stadium.

by kba26 on Mar 30, 2010 1:11 PM EDT up reply actions

i guess that makes sense

Bergesen doesn't sound sharp today

maybe they’ll demote him and move Berken to the rotation now. OVERREACTION TO ONE INNING

Bedard says he doesn't care and thinks goals are pointless.

you know

he hasn’t really done anything to push or pull my thoughts on him, but I have a real good feeling about Pie this year, and he’s had a lot of days like today this spring to keep that confidence steady.

The GO / FO ratio is nice.

The 3 HRs, not so much.

or does gonzalez suck?

Yes

Strangely, though, it only seems to be blowing balls out of the park when the Tigers are at bat. It must be changing directions on us every half-inning.

it's been hard to get a read on him for me ....

first off, i have watched or listened to most games, and even attended three in person, and i really don’t feel like i’ve seen much of him.

work of art.

In one game as a freshman at Miami, Wieters hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to put the Yellow Jackets ahead, then pitched the bottom of the ninth for the save. On that day, the God nickname was bestowed. - Sports Illustrated
