A Harrisburg-area fan enjoying his first O's game on TV in years
Called off sick today (legitimately) only to find that MASN is in the Comcast Harrisburg package starting today! Best sick day ever :)
I used to get DishNetwork years ago simply because they would carry O’s TV in Harrisburg. Lately, I’ve relied on the free At Bat game of the week to show the O’s on my phone.
Seriously, the last time the O’s were on TV here was the old Yankee Stadium’s final game. Since then, the few times the O’s were on national/regional TV were all blacked out.
OK, off to watching Berken

In other news: Last night I had a dream that Felix Pie hit 2 homeruns in a World Series Game 2 loss to the LA Angels of A (I know, but it’s a dream, what do you want from me?). We were up 10-4 going into the 9th and lost on a series of errors and freak plays. I started throwing chairs in anger.

Thats not entirely true
Comcast invested in SBNation, but i dont think they’re any where close to a primary shareholder. (apparently SBNation was also launched by Markos Moulitsas, which i had no idea about).

Been w/comcast for 9 years w/out issue. All providers the size of comcast, directv, etc are bound to have some corruption. It’s easy for the media to ignore an upstart like directv (w/ads that basically say that cable customers are idiots) and magnify the wrongdoings of a provider w/a much longer history and the target of these mudslinging campaigns. Besides, I’m not paying $60 more a mo. for the same service w/a dish.

And DirecTv is cheaper than Comcast for most DVR and HD packages.
And I’m STILL pissed Comcast signs an exclusivity agreement with my county so no other cable company can come in, then refuses to fucking wire 40% of the county.

Not that the situation didn’t happen exactly as you say, but that the person was actually fired. Although maybe CSRs are a dime a dozen – maybe they’re treated as bad as they treat the customers.
