GameThread: Orioles (1-2) @ Tigers (2-1), 1:05 p.m.

Kevin Millwood makes his Orioles debut this afternoon, opposed by Justin Verlander. So far the starting pitchers have been impressive in their two inning debuts and hopefully Millwood follows suit.

It's nice to see Pie back in the lineup considering his injury scare and it's really good to finally see Reimold's name in the starting lineup. He's scheduled to have two at bats and then be replaced by Michael Aubrey

The game isn't being broadcast locally but you can catch the Tigers feed on Gameday Audio.

Let's Go O's!

so if nolan gets two ABs, who many homers can he hit …. like four right?

What surprises me....

is that Ty is hitting in the 4 spot. In what situation would we ever see him hit there? I agree, put Reimold there and he will not only hit 4 home runs, he will have more of a chance for more people to be on base.

Hey, hey, hey

So much for Kevin lobbying to get 3 innings. He got 2 outs.

You know, it was an optimistic 3 games or so

but it’s early March, and we’re already back to reality.

Much as I may sound like debbie downer

I’m not quite ready to give up on optimism. there are four other starters (maybe five).

I'm practically suicidal

I mean, it’s a game! They keep score and everything! OMGWTFBBQ!

I'm with you

This was bad, and we all knew he wasn’t going to be great, but he’ll be mediocre once the season starts, and we can just hope it’s a steady mediocre.

I've been saying...

…dude is a candidate to be our worst starter. Not that a ST outing is anything to hang a hat on, but with a resurgent Guts, healthy Bergesen, and emerging Matusz/Tillman, Millwood’s potential high4-low5 ERA could rank him last in the rotation.

There's a decent chance it plays out that way

Let's hope Millwood gets a better appetite

He’s supposed to be our “innings eater.” He didn’t like what was on the menu today. Tiger meat. Bleh.

It's really, really too bad

that all of the kids are so impressionable that everything Kevin Millwood does will cause them to follow suit (he’s their leader and their not mature enough to know how to do anything on their own, after all!). So I guess everyone will not be able to get through an inning in a Spring Training game from now on.

Damn.

Bedard says he doesn't care and thinks goals are pointless.

Verlander

20 pitches through 3. Ugh.

We shoulda played Luke

The mere sight of him on the lineup card turns Tigers pitchers into pussycats.

Seriously, what a wasted opportunity

Could someone post a link for the audio?

Just because you know how to read, doesn't mean you'll like the book.
