PrintThe Orioles take on the Rays in one of the last Spring Training games of the year. Jake Arrieta will face Mike Ekstrom in a battle of pitcher we probably won't see in an MLB uniform again for a few months.From Britt Ghiroli's blog:
Highly touted prospect Jake Arrieta will get the start, followed by right-hander Steve Johnson. Prospect Brandon Waring will start at third base and most of the Orioles regular position players aren't expected to make the trip.
The game is not being broadcast locally, but may be available on MLB At-Bat or MLB.tv.

According to a commenter on that site, Andino’s going to get DFA’d when Will Ohman’s contract is purchased..

When Tejada signed, it basically meant the end of Aubrey’s reign, but wasn’t it Sarfate who got waived? These things just don’t happen in the right order, I guess.
Bedard says he doesn't care and thinks goals are pointless.

MLB.TV Question
Does anyone here watch on MLB.TV? If so, have any of the ST games been in HD? I decided to switch from Extra Innings and am just wondering if this is what I can expect for the regular season or if I screwed something up on my computer.

The only downside is that theres a decent delay on the HD stream for live games
makes gamethreads a little annoying
this.

if you watch in HD you’re a minute or so behind the gamethread. you kind of have to choose one or the other.

Today's game isn't in HD
Sun is only offering it in SD. In the past when I had MLB.tv they offered an HD feed if it was available.

I’m not sure if anyone has HD cameras at spring training, but if they do, mlb is only broadcasting the feeds in SD

I subscribe and haven’t had any games in HD (despite the MASN HD logo taunting me). I can watch archived games in HD just fine, though, so I guess it’s just for ST, for whatever reason. Maybe try doing that to test it?

You should be able to watch anything you want from last year, unless they’ve changed the rules.

And the only games I saw archived were their “Best Games”, the latest of which was 2004; which wasn’t in HD. Guess I’ll just wait to opening day.
