I forgot how young Cla is.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a lot of value out of him for the next three years.

I know feel very smart about said pick.

Need a countdown clock to home opener. And a Natty Boh. And some crabcakes. That is all.

Me, too...
I’ll definitely have to get one at the Yard for the home opener.
Weaver's Fourth Law: Your most precious possessions on offense are your twenty-seven outs.
Where do you get crabcakes at the yard?
I don’t get there often, but will be there next Sunday. Would love to get a crabcake.
Get 'em outside the yard.
They sell ‘em inside, but there’s no way they’re worth the price.
Pre-game at Faidley’s in LexMarket. Get the jumbo lump backfin platter & it’ll set you back nearly $20 with a beer, but you know with every bite that it’s worth every cent.
And I’m drooling. Fantastic.
From the Land of Pleasant Living...
OK where is this place?
I don’t know Baltimore well at all… is this Faidley’s within walking distance to OPACY?
Yea, but it's a decently long walk
it’s about half a mile up from Camden. Just walk up S. Paca (on the other side of the Hilton) and you’ll run into it. Paca is a block over (west) from Eutaw.
It's in Lexington Market

Crabcakes on Opening Day
Anyone who’s going to the game Friday, definitely get your crab cakes at Faidley’s. Best in Baltimore. And then if you need to buy an illegal gun, you’ll already be at Lexington Market.

Maybe LUUUUUKE will autograph it at the game!
The gun, not the crabcake.
BTW, if you go to Faidley’s and eat there, you will smell horrible for the rest of the day. Just a warning.
ahahaah
I’ve been there plenty of times, I’ve never noticed stinking before.

I remember the 1st time I went there we spent a good 30 minutes or more. I walked back to the hotel and my clothes were covered in stinky. I had tot take a shower and change my clothes before going to the game.
That wasn't Faidley's. That was just you.

From Adam Jones:
“Obviously, everyone knows the [American League East] division we play in, it’s not fun going on the road, but you got to. So we just have to do the small things to win. We’re not going to sit and wait for the three-run home run. We have to make sure we have the intangibles and do the small things right in order to beat those guys. "
Oh not! It looks like Trembley’s small ball method is infecting the team!! Nooooooo!!!
"Real Orioles don't pout. Real Orioles don't gloat. Real Orioles just win."
I hope
“small things” refers more to “not fucking up” than it does to “do a shit ton of hit and runs”
cxcxcxcxzzzzzzzzz
I don't know...
we all saw last year how doing however many (we’ll call it ‘X’) hit-and-runs didn’t work. The Orioles were one of the worst baserunning teams in baseball, and also were relatively low in the home run and runs scored department.
So, if X hit-and-runs didn’t help offset the low amount of homers, then the only possible answer is to double X and hope for the best.
Bedard says he doesn't care and thinks goals are pointless.
Well
I want players to sweat the small things, but not play small ball. If he is talking about running out ground balls and not running the bases like Melmo and playing good defense then he better be concerned about doing those things.

**AMAZING NEWS** (to me at least)
I’m a 26 year old male in the military who got married to my 9-year girlfriend (also high school sweetheart) about 13 months ago.
On Sunday, I got back to my car and found my favorite childhood teddy bear sitting in the driver’s seat holding something in his hand with the not attached….
… you guessed it! A POSITIVE pregnancy test and a note saying “You are going to be a DADDY in November”.
I pitched to her an idea I’d been having for awhile…. if it was a boy, I’d name him….
CAMDEN NICHOLAS BRITTON
SHE TOTALLY WENT FOR IT!!!
Hopefully, I’ll be taking Camden to Camden in 2011 so we can watch a competitive product…. after all, I was born 2 days after the Orioles won their last World Series, October 18th, 1983.

Yardley is an actual name
http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/1/Yardley
It means “fenced meadow”, although that doesn’t really make it any more attractive than it already isn’t.
Yea, i've thought of that
I doubt it though. Anyone who knows us knows why we’d be naming him Camden, and we live far enough away from Camden, NJ that it isn’t always the 1st thing that comes to mind. Also, we’ll probably no longer be in NJ at that point anyways.
Apparently, it can be both
although that commercial really cemented it as a girls name in my mind, so I kind of did a double take when you said it’d be a name for your son. But then I did a quick Google search, and it’s historically been a boys name. Congrats!
