Happy Birthday to Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson (73) and Reggie Jackson (64)
You know, they both played for the Orioles. Just sayin'.

Aw, happy birthday Brooksie!
Today is also Joakim Soria’s birthday.
Other former Orioles born today: Luis Terraro (1980) and Gil Coan (1922).
Also born on this day in 1978, my sister. Happy Birthday, Kathy!
too bad we couldn't give Soria an early birthday present last night...
Rub some $100 bills on it, you sell-out. -duck
A birthday with one Orioles great, and another guy who skipped out on the O's after one freakin' season.
Everyone thought Baltimore was three easy wins and we got our ass kicked three times. - Dustin Pedroia, After the Red Sox got swept by the Orioles.

I'm too young to really remember Brooks, but...
Reggie being 64 makes me feel old.
It could be worse.
You could remember watching Brooks play like I do and feel even older.
Anybody remember Tom Phoebus pitching a no hitter? Can you name the team? I can, as I was there. Here is what I remember from that day in order of what made the biggest impression :
1) Those little crabcakes on saltine crackers were good.
2) Sucks sitting behind one of the pillars supporting the upper deck.
3) Sucks almost as bad that the O’s hired crotchity old assholes as ushers who wouldn’t allow a bunch of 6th graders attending on Safety Patrol Day to move down to better seats later in the game, even though there were hundreds of them empty.
4) Those little crab cakes on saltines were really good.
I didn’t realize it was a no hitter until I got home that evening and heard it on the news.
