Prior to the season, most fans called for passing on bringing Matt Holliday to Baltimore because of our crowded outfield with Markakis, Jones, Reimold, and Pie. Now that Pie is on the DL and Reimold is struggling in AAA, does anybody feel differently about our offseason move (or lack thereof)? No slight to Patterson, of course, because he has been a catalyst for the minimal offensive production, and that is at least something. Holliday is stuggling now in St. Louis but I'd be hard pressed to believe that would continue. Some are pessimistic about Patterson's ability to continue his current production.
So sound off: was passing on Matt Holliday the right thing to do?
