Orioles 7, Nationals 6: They're worse than we are!
Full recap up once I get home from the game, but I'd like to thank the Nationals for making four errors tonight, including one at the end of the game to give the Orioles the win. AHHAHAHAAHAHAA! And I'd like to thank Scott Moore for being better than Garrett Atkins. Stay tuned for the rest later! There are no pictures posted yet of the walk-off, and I also can't find any pictures of Scott Moore worth posting. I'm bummed about that. So instead enjoy this FanGraphs chart.

They’re worse than we are!
I never thought I would here those words about any team when compared to the Orioles in my whole life!

Thank God for today
At least the Orioles managed to put a smile in my face, which is more than I can say about the Marlin’s embarrassing performance today. I was sitting at Sunlife Stadium thinking of 50 different ways to commit suicide rather than watch another painful minute.

RE: Rendon
Are we really worried about Pittsburgh taking him? They have Alvarez already AND they are going to pay out the wazoo for Taillon this year
We shouldn't be worried about the 2011 draft right now period

Bitter Sweet Day for Me!
Just as the Orioles start to get good, the Marlins are taking a slump. Why can’t I ever be happy with both my teams at the same time?
This sucks!

I live in South Florida
I have to root for the home team here, but I’ve always been an Orioles fan, even before moving to South Florida.

I thought they all liked the Yankees even though New Yorkers shit on Jersey whenever they can.

My best friend got me into the Orioles, never really liked the Yankees, not even when I lived over there.
Thanks to MLB TV I can catch all the games, despite the distance.

That's cool.
Always nice to have an out of towner as an O’s fan. It’s hard to get locals to root for the O’s much less anyone else.

STFU ESPN!
No one is impressed by a no hitter which included 8 fucking walks!

Do you know how many no-hitters there have been?
They are a dime a dozen…I don’t see the big deal either

I wouldn't go as far as a dime a dozen.
No hitters are impressive, but not with 8 walks. He also threw 73 strikes to 70 balls. This wasn’t a case of the pitcher being dominant. Tampa Bay just sucked ass hard.

They’ve had one no hitter and two perfect games against them in the last year. That takes talent.

That happens all the time
I’m only impressed with two thing; a perfect game, and an Orioles win

Hey, wait a minute! Maybe we've lost a bunch of games by REPORTING THE WRONG SCORE!!!
In more pressing news, what makes an even funnier odd couple than Obama and diminutive (5’4") Russian President Medvedev? Medvedev and Shwarzenegger! They’re like…twins!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Twins_Poster.jpg
In utterly inexplicable news, the US Embassy Moscow is encouraging Russians to bring flowers (etc.) to the compound to honor the memory of, um, some pop singer guy whose greatness has still…somehow…eluded…mezzz…zzzz…zzz…
Sorry, must’ve dozed off there! In actually important other news, it’s US vs. Ghana in the Cup knockout round tonight! Ghana?!? The Brit guy I won a bottle from on US-England is offering Ghana even up, and I’m taking it. USA-USA-USA!
Oh yeah: say, da Gnats suck giant dead elephant, don’t they? What’re they telling their children tonight? “We had a 6 run lead on the Orioles…and lost.” Next comes There’s no Santa Claus, I guess. Life sucks, kids— so we say
Go O’s!

And in truly stomach-churning other news, here' something for those in the NYC area to Avoid At All Costs
NEW YORK, June 24 (Reuters) – Coca-Cola Co is hoping that warming relations between Russia and the United States will spread to consumers’ palates. Coke has begun selling its version of a traditional Russian soft drink called kvass in the New York City area. It plans to announce the move later on Thursday, the same day Russian president Dmitry Medvedev is meeting U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C. [ID:nN24131466]
The drink is being launched by a relatively new unit of Coke that is tasked with bringing new drinks to North America, where beverage sales have been sluggish and the world’s largest soft drink maker faces competition from a host of small, innovative start-up brands. Coke’s Krushka & Bochka Kvass — a sparkling, caramel-colored fermented drink made from grains — is being sold at Whole Foods Market Inc stores in the New York metro area.

hahahaha...
in my circle of friends, we have an odd tradition of randomly “kvassing”, that is to say, gifting bottles of kvass. the recipient has to drinl at least one glass of kvass before throwing it out.

two consecutive games. Oh well, better late than never. Hopefully they can sustain this! That would be sweet. This was totally Birdland!
