My best guess is Loria was too cheap to cough up the money to hire his friend
H just shot the Marlins in the foot. Within weeks the Marlins will be the worst team in Baseball, to the relief of all Orioles fans!
What's more frustrating than being a Marlins and Orioles fan? Eye surgery???

he was just on baseball tonight
and said they’re still in the middle of the interviewing process and nothing has been decided
I take that to mean
Loria said “No your not getting that much” and Bobby V is still trying to negotiate
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!
Bobby V will be hired after the team returns from this series in Puerto Rico

Showalter discussing the O's job right now...
Being very respectful to Samuel, not wanting to seem to eager.

My favourite
is still Emily Procter’s “Republican on the Democratic administration team”. She was a smart, funny, and actually written as someone with a different viewpoint, not a wrong one.
also very good in Reasonable Doubts

I still have hope for Eric Wedge
He’s not the taskmaster Showalter is, but still demands respect. Great manager who could help turn things around…I hope.
