Before the season started I mentioned planning a day a Camden Chat trip to Camden Yards, similar to the one we did last year, just with more notice and not the second to last game of the year. Well, I planned on discussing this earlier but time got away from me. After some deliberation, duck and I decided that Saturday, July 24th is the day we'll be holding our 2nd annual CC trip to OPACY.
The July 24th game is a 4 o'clock game vs the Minnesota Twins. We figured a Saturday game with a mid-afternoon start time would be a good choice for anyone who has to travel any distance, and it should be a decent sized crowd.
If you are interested in getting more information about going to this game with us, you need to do one of two things:
- Email me and let me know (my email address is at the bottom of the page). Make the subject line something like "CC day at Camden Yards" and include your screen name so that I know who you are.
- Comment in this thread that you are interested. If you go this route, make sure the email address in your account is one that you check regularly.
Letting me know you're interested is NOT an obligation to buy tickets and attend the game. It's just getting on the email list to get more information. I don't want to try and plan the event here on the site; it'll be easier through email and won't bore everyone who isn't going.
If you're interested in going, please respond by Thursday afternoon as I'm going to send out the first email to everyone that evening. I'll remind you again Thursday.
We had a lot of fun last time, hopefully this time it'll be an even bigger crowd.

In a year or two
I’ll make the trip for one of these. Living in Maine and being at the end of my college career I can’t afford it yet, but once I’m out and working full time I hope to make a game or two each summer. Hope everyone that makes it has a good time and gets to see an Orioles win.

And I am targeting to visit NoVA that weekend but I haven’t bought a plane ticket. I may visit NoVA another time depending on ticket prices. But go ahead and put me on the interested email list. If I come that weekend, I might be up for BAL day trip.

I forget who on here is overly concerned with how you smell after eating certain things (crab cakes), but you fucking stink after the garlic fries. Well worth it though.

But it isn’t how you smell when you eat something, it’s how you smell when you eat at a certain place. I’m tellin’ you, last time we chilled at Faidleys for a while I came out and my shirt reeked of fishiness. I had to go back to the hotel and change. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that my gf got crabs and not crab cakes but it wqas seriously bad.
Garlic fries are delicious. I make no apologies for garlic. It’s like Old Bay is down there. It’s on or in just about everything you eat in this area.
