Today was his day to pitch. We needed insurance in the ‘pen. He was here if needed. He wasn’t needed. Back down to Norfolk, pitch tomorrow on just about regular rest. But he was here if the bullpen needed the arm. In this case, I think it was one of the few times this year the FO thought ahead, even if they didn’t tell Troy what the plan was.

Oh, man, Berger cookies. That brings back memories! In younger days my mother used to send care packages with several pounds of Berger cookies wherever I was living — Iowa, Missouri, Kansas…. Everybody everywhere went nuts over them.
