PRESS RELEASE
July 6, 2010ORIOLES PLACE RHP KEVIN MILLWOOD ON 15-DAY DISABLED LIST; REINSTATE OF FELIX PIE FROM DISABLED LIST
The Orioles today announced that they have placed RHP KEVIN MILLWOOD on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm (flexor mass).
Millwood is 2-8 with a 5.77 ERA (107.2IP, 69ER) in a team-high 18 starts for the Orioles.
To fill Millwood’s spot on the roster, the Orioles have activated OF FELIX PIE, who has been on the disabled list since April 16 with a strained upper back muscle.
Pie was batting .400 (8-20) with two doubles, a home run and one RBI for the Orioles at the time of his injury.
By activating Pie from the 60-day disabled list, the Orioles’ 40-man roster is at capacity.
The most adorable press release in Orioles history.

not Britton?
he’s been on a tear lately.
Fire Julio Lugo.
I like baseball, movies, good clothes, fast cars, whiskey, and you... what else you need to know?
well, if he’s been a tear lately, then by all means, call him up. :)
Don't mess with the bull, young man. You'll get the horns.
Seems to be the Oriole way.
Insert something witty here.

Pie
Really glad to see Pie back. If he can continue to develop, hit anywhere .270+ with some power, steal some bases and cut down on his OF mistakes, I think he will help to reinvigorate this team (and will make MacPhail’s trade look genius)
