NLDS Games Five Game Thread
Will St. Louis shock Philadelphia with a win in game five? Well, Roy Halladay is on the mound for the Phillies so if they do, it'll be a heck of a game to watch. And how about the Diamondbacks? Down two games to none, they fought back to tie the series at 2-2 and forced a final game back against the Brewers.
My money is on both of the home teams, Philly and Milawukee. But honestly, I barely care. Bring on the ALCS!
Arizona Diamondbacks @ Milwaukee Brewers - 5 PM (TBS)
Ian Kennedy vs. Yovani Gallardo
St. Louis Cardinals @ Philadelphia Phillies - 8:30 PM (TBS)
Chris Carpenter vs. Roy Halladay

Willie Bloomquist is not only starting on a playoff team but is also batting lead off.

These are the two worst playoff teams ever.

I miss that guy. There should be more players that eat their jersey every AB.

why don't guys tag up at 2nd on that play?
it’s not like they won’t score anyway if he doesn’t make the catch

I saw a game in Houston a couple weeks ago
The pitcher was on base, did the same thing. I figure “he’s a pitcher, doesn’t get on base much”, so not a big deal. Next batter singles, pitcher comes around to score. There’s 2 outs, so I explain to my wife how the next batter will take a couple of pitches, step out of the box, etc. to give the pitcher time to catch his breath. Nope, swung at the first pitch and grounded out.
Do they not learn fundamentals any more?
OK, done ranting.
