That's the spirit!
The Skins might cream the Fins. Even though Rexy might not be a star, Buck’s probably still got him on his list of nuggets

We still suck, but on Sept. 29, 2011, we did a Very Cool Thing. Yeah, we did that.
Nothing would give the O's instant credibility with me
more than signing a 32 year old super utility player.
I like Cuddyer a lot. I really do. But c’mon now.

If they sign him for 2 years, $1.5 million per...
I would have faith that the front office knew what they were doing.
Anyone else see that happening?

Roch has had a few pieces recently about the coaching staff.
One of the openings is BP coach, with speculation that Adair could move back to BP coach and then bringing in a pitching coach.
Now, last year Matusz pinned part of the blame on his having had three different pitching coaches in the recent past. I don’t think that was the reason he completely imploded, but it’s definitely something it might be a factor.
With so many young pitchers in the Majors (Matusz, Arrieta, Tillman, Bergy, Britton, Phillips, Strop, Simon(?)) still developing pitches and approaches, the O’s need some serious stability at that position (pitching coach). Would it be better if Adair, who I don’t know if he’s good or not, but as of now looking at the staff, is not getting results, or bring in a different coach yet again, but sign him long term (4-5 years)?
Contrary to DCO'sfan, I am Jewish.
just FYI
I didn’t clip that because it was clipped yesterday
i think having a longer term pitching coach (maybe 2-3 years, not 4-6) is crucial.

doesn't seem smart to sign a pitching coach to a longer contact than the manager
But I get what you’re saying. I wish Buck would have wanted to keep Kranitz, they seemed to respond to him.

I haven’t kept track of just the gambling but I had several really good stretches. As of right now I have only about $50 less in my wallet than when I got here. We’re leaving later this evening so barring any catasrophes I’ll consider it a success.
Last night we saw a show by this Australian band called Human Nature. They did the hits of Motown and they were amazing. I could have watched them all night. Best part of the trip.

Kangaroo is actually one of the most environmentally-friendly meats
Theres been groups trying to get people to eat it instead of beef, but they have a hard time getting people to get past eating kangaroo. Theres been attempts to try to name it something else, but i don’t know how successful its been.
When I was in Australia I learned that they're just pests.
One of them attacked us when we were hiking, we narrowly missed hitting one on a highway, I even have a kangaroo skin rug in my old bedroom.

Not sure how Dan Duquette feels about Cuddyer but Buck’s definitely a big fan.
Kevin Gregg-"You obviously haven't acquired my taste for pitching yet"
I don't think Buck was being completely serious in that interview.
It was one of his ex-co-workers and it was a very friendly interview. However, the fact that of ALL the players in baseball, he mentions a mediocre FA whom the O’s would typically sign to a too-long-too-expensive contract.

Solid "O's!" during the national anthem at the Maryland game.
Best one ever though, I was at a soccer game in Guangzhou, China and heard someone yell “O’s!” from across the stadium at a random point during the Chinese national anthem. Never did track down who it was.
My fave was on the news
after Osama was killed and there was a mob outside the White house that broke into the national anthem. National TV, huge historical moment, and there it was.
