Does anyone have a clue what this means?

Kemp +150
The bet is who will hit more HRs. But then it says “swing off HRs do not apply”.

Hr's in a swing off
meaning if 2 guys are tied at the end of a round, they have a swing off.
"things like locig and prrofreading are actually valued here" - zknower
That may have been confusing...
say at the end of the semi final one player has 10 home runs and 2 are tied with 8. They get something like swings (not outs) to hit as many HRs as possible. Whoever hits more moves on. Those HR’s wouldn’t count toward their HR total for the bet though.

BTW
Chase Field is a really nice ballpark. I was there to see a Cubs game in May. When I first went in, during BP, the roof was closed and it seemed to me to be like some giant dirigible hangar. But they opened the roof before the game because it wasn’t too hot outside, and it really changed the character of the park. Even more dramatic than when the roof at Safeco Field is open as opposed to closed
Is it weird that every year
I root for one of those kids in the outfield to climb the fence and rob a HR?

He has such a pretty swing.
Put in Hamilton so I can stare in awe at his swing and Reynolds so he can mash the ball.
I want to see Reynolds and Wily Mo Pena.

They should pay Sosa, Mcguire, Palmeiro, Bonds, etc like a million each.

Prince Fielder is the only non-MFY or PHN bastard left.
We can’t root for him to win. It’ll drive his asking price up in the off-season.
Damn
He’s got a damn nice stroke

Is it lame to think its kind of special when the showed that sweet angle of Mr. Cano...
in the backround and Robinson facing out.
I know it’s the Yanks, but that was pretty cool

Can't really go wrong with that
the more surprising thing is that out of 3 dudes Prince picked two African Americans in a sport where they are such a small minority.

I don't think he meant that Fielder meant to pick black players.
Just funny that that’s how it ended up, considering that African Americans are such a small minority in baseball.
he actually has a slightly positive dWAR on baseball reference the last two years
compare that to, say, adam jones
Well, he plays a corner outfield position.
AJ might not be that bad at a corner. And I’m not trying to knock Braun, his bat makes up for whatever shortcomings he might or might not have defensively (as long as he’s not playing third).
He's had that reputation pretty much forever, actually.
When he was a prospect his weakness was his glove, and it was a huge weakness. They moved him from third because he was so awful there.
They are "boys"
Fielder already said. They were minor league roommates.
I am eating you, motherfucker. You cannot hurt me. - PhilR8
Did he say that earlier?
I only started watching less than an hour ago, and might have stopped paying attention anyway. I did catch Matt Kemp say he’ll “try to be back” and that this is a “once-in-lifetime experience.”
also; they hit their first home runs on the same day together

Haha
In hindsight, it’s funny Reynolds thought he had a shot…
Picture them all playing kickball as kids, and Papi says, Uhhh….. Ill take Gonzalez….. ummm….. Jose Bautista….. and Reynolds is all “pick me, pick me!” white as can be. LOL

I can’t find the video, but I remember Kevin MIllar was ripping some Pirates fan who snagged a ball from a kid when he wasn’t looking and hid it in his beer cup. scummy, but hilarious to watch.

I just looked it up.
He said last year that he would consider boycotting this year’s All Star game, but instead he’s being silent and won’t answer questions about immigration. Apparently there will also be a protest outside Chase Field tomorrow.
