Wow, 2-to-1 Olivia Wilde
Wasn’t expecting that kind of disparity in voting this close to the finals.

I saw an extended trailer for Cowboys and Aliens over the weekend. Good… Lord Wilde looks smokin hot in that. I think that’s gonna send her star power right into the A List.

I think Beckinsale is gonna give her a run for her money.
By the time this thing was down to 16, I don’t think there was any doubt who was going to be in the finals…

dear monica,
i have to be honest with you, after i picked you and then saw the other women in the cougars bracket, i thought you might be a bit over-matched. but then you went out there with your kick-ass rack and intimidating guns and took advantage of the brunette bias here at CC. so, i guess i just want to thank you for the cinderella run through the tournament, and for helping prove that a 25 year old can know what he’s talking about when it comes to women almost twice his age.

Since all the women I consider hot are long gone
I’ll try a different approach here.
Olivia Wilde was born on 3/10/84. Also born on 3/10/84 was Barry Roe, RHP, 42nd round pick of the Orioles in the 2002 draft.
Kate Beckinsale was born on 7/26/73. On 7/26/73, one of my all-time favorite Orioles, Bobby Grich, hit a grand slam off Gaylord Perry in an 8-4 win over the Indians.
Beckinsale is definitely the more Birdland of the two.

On 3/10/84 Cal Ripken and Eddie Murray went back to back yard ... (it was only a ST game).
That’s pretty birdland.
OK, I made up the back to back bit. But Cal and Eddie were both still in the same lineup in 1984 and fresh off a World Series title.

This turned to be a lot easier than I thought.
Based only on the two photos above, Ms Wilde looks like stiff competition.
But go on-line and expand the looks for her and one quickly finds that the photo above is an outstandingly good shot of her – not to say she isn’t attractive in her other photos.
And while it also happens to be an excellent choice of photo for Kate, in my opinion she has lots of other good shots one can find.

I think that picture of Wilde is ridiculous
I know why it was chosen, but the “I’m going to arc my back so I look like a Rob Leifield drawing” pose just doesn’t work with her, because she’s not busty at all. All it manages to do to me is detract from her other, noteworthy features.

Overall not a bad job
Particularly the 2 cougars. I mean, at our age we should have a more realistic perspective about that.
And nothing wrong with picking based on one movie (say, Sin City or Zombieland).
But K.K.? Sorry. Not into science lab skeletons.

You do know lions stay as far away from elephants as possible?
And the biggest man killer is the hippo, not the lion or tiger?
I’m not sure which one I’d bet on, but it is no slam dunk for the tiger.

I'm skeptical but let's do a test run
kangaroo v porcupine
squirrel v capuchin monkey
crocodile v bobcat
pitbull v tyrion lannister.
GO.
I’ll go porcupine (they have spikes!), monkey (squirrels are dumb), crocodile (I’ll take a croc versus a lot of animals). and lannister (he’ll just hire someone to fight for him).

porcupine, monkey, croc, lannister (for the same reason you said, that was an awesome episode)

Kangaroo, monkey, bobcat, lannister
one stomp from the kangaroo and the porcupine would be toast, monkey is obvious, crocs are tough but bobcats are fast, that’s a tough decision, I don’t know what tyrion lannister is.
i just realize that this isn't a cool thing to say.
especially since i’m quite fond of peter dinklage. my bad.
Folksy literate type.
We had a full 64 bracket
With full write-ups on each animal. We included smaller animals, like tarantulas and army ants (assuming a large swarm of them).
It was very goofy and very fun.
Too much is dependent on location
Croc wins near water, but outside of water I take the bobcat. I think kangaroo might win, but he’d be severely hurt and probably DQ for the next round. Is Tyrion drunk?
