Norfolk beat Charlotte 4-2.  Ryan Adams, Kyle Hudson and Jake Fox each went 1-4 with a K.  Brandon Snyder went 2-4 with a double and a K.  Wynn Pelzer has been promoted to Norfolk, and went 1.2 scoreless innings, striking out 2, walking 1.  Cole McCurry went two thirds of an inning, giving up 1 hit.  Steve Johnson got the start and went 5.2 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, striking out 4 and posting a GB/FB of 2/6.

Bowie lost a pair to New Britain.  In the Game 1 3-0 loss, Xavier Avery went 1-2 with a double and walk and CS.  LJ Hoes went 1-3 with a triple.  Joe Mahoney went 0-3 with 3 Ks.  Since tearing up the Carolina League following his acquisition for Derrek Lee, 23 year old Aaron Baker went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts.  Caleb Joseph went 0-2.  Greg Miclat went 1-3 with a SB.  In Game 2, Avery went 0-3 2 Ks.  LJ Hoes went 0-3.  Joe Mahoney went 1-2 (and played RF).  Aaron Baker went 1-3 with a double and a K.  Caleb Joseph went 0-1 as a pinch hitter.  Greg Miclat went 3-3 without attempting to steal a base.  Ronnie Welty DNP in either game.

Frederick lost to Winston Salem 5-2.  Jonathan Schoop went 1-3 with a double and a walk.  Kipp Schutz went 1-3 with a double, a walk and a K.

The Shorebirds were rained out.

Aberdeen beat Winston Salem 9-3.  Glynn Davis went 2-5 with a K.  Mychal Givens went 0-4 with a K.  Wynston Sawyer went 1-3 with a walk and a K.  Connor Narron went 1-4 with an error and is batting over 200.  Dudley Leonora went 1-4.  Parker Bridwell gave up 2 earned runs in 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2 and posting a GB/FB of 5/7.  Ryan Berry continues to rehab, and went 2 innings giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits and a walk while striking out 2.  There were a couple of articles about him by Melewski a few days ago, fwiw.

The GCL Orioles were off.

The DSL Orioles were 1 hit by the DSL Twins, losing 4-0.  Hector Veloz went 1-3.  Jhondaniel Medina went six innings, striking out 7, giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits and a walk and posting a GB/FB 8/3.  Byron Capellan went 0-4 with a K.  Alex Mercedes continues to not play, so I'm assuming he is injured.
