Note to readers: If there was ever a day not to read this segment, today would be it.

Norfolk beat Durham 6-4 in 13.  Chris Tillman gave up 4 solo homers, 2 doubles and hit a man for good measure in six innings, striking out 2 and walking 3, posting a GB/FB of 6/4.  Wynn Pelzer retired one of the 3 men he faced, giving up 2 hits but was bailed out by Clay Rapada.  Cole McCurry went 3 strong, striking out 2, walking none and giving up 2 hits with a GB/FB of 3/4.  Kyle Hudson went 1-6 with a CS and 4 Ks.  Josh Bell went 1-6 with a walk and 2 Ks.  Brandon Snyder went 2-7 with double.

Bowie lost to Akron 4-2.  Bobby Bundy had another tough outing, giving up 3 earned in 4 innings on 4 hits and 5 walks, striking out 3 posting a GB/FB of 9/1.  Xavier Avery went 0-4 with a K.  Greg Miclat went 2-3 with a double (!) and a walk.  LJ Hoes went 2-3 with a walk and CS.  Joe Mahoney went 1-3 with a walk, a K and an error.  Aaron Baker went 1-4 with 2 Ks.  Ronnie Welty went 1-3 with 2 Ks.

Frederick lost to Kinston 3-1.  Jonathan Schoop went 1-4 with a K.  Manny Machado went 0-4 with a K.  Kipp Schutz went 1-4 with a CS.

Delmarva lost to Lexington 3-0.  Johnny Ruettiger and Ty Kelly each went 0-3 with a walk.  Michael Ohlman went 1-4.  Matt Bywater gave up 2 earned in 4 innings on 3 hits and 5 walks while striking out 3 and posting a GB/FB of 3/1.

Aberdeen beat Connecticut 3-2.  Ryan Berry had an effective evening, going 4 scoreless striking out 5 and giving up 1 hit with a GB/FB of 6/1.  Devin Jones gave up 1 solo homer in 3 innings, striking out 2, walking 1 and posting a GB/FB of 6/2.  Glynn Davis went 0-4.  Mychal Givens went 1-4.  Joe Velleggia went 1-3.  Wynston Sawyer went 1-3 with an error.  Connor Narron went 0-3.  Dudley Leonora went 0-2.

The GCL Orioles beat the GCL pink hats 5-1.  Tyler Townsend went 1-3 with a walk.  Rod Bernadina DNP.  Jaime Esquivel gave up a 1 hit (a solo homer, like every other pitcher tonight) in 3 innings, striking out 3, walking none and posting a GB/FB of 4/1.

Mercifully the DSL Orioles were off.
