Based on some comments last night, we are going to try and post the around the minors entries separately.  We'll see how it goes!

Norfolk lost to Lehigh Valley 6-3.  Ryan Adams went 1-3 with a homer (10) and a K.  Jake Fox went 0-4 with a K.  Brandon Snyder went 0-4 with 2 Ks.  Steve Johnson went 6.2 innings, giving up 5 earned runs on 10 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5 and posting a GB/FB of 8/4 (!).  

Bowie had the day off.  

Frederick lost to Myrtle Beach 11-5.  Jonathan Schoop went 1-5 with a homer and a K.  Manny Machado went 1-4 with a homer, a walk, a K and committed his 7th error of the season.  Aaron Baker went 1-2 with 2 walks.  Kipp Schutz went 0-3 with a walk and a K.

Delmarva lost to Kannapolis 4-3.  Ty Kelly went 0-3 with a walk and a K.  Michael Ohlman went 1-3 with a homer, a walk and a K.  Ryan Berry went 5 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 4 hits (1 homer) and 4 walks, while striking out 4 and posting a GB/FB of 7/2.  Ashur Tolliver continues to pitch better, going 3 scoreless, giving up 2 hits and a walk while striking out 4 and posting a GB/FB of 2/0.  Tolliver's ERA on the season stands at 2.39.  Over his last 10 appearances, he has posted a 23/6 K/BB in 19 innings, and has allowed one earned run.

Aberdeen, the GCL and DSL Orioles below the jump!

Aberdeen beat Hudson Valley 6-4.  Mychal Givens went 1-4 with 2 stolen bases and his 8th error on the season.  Joe Velleggia went 2-4 with 2 doubles and a K.  Wynston Sawyer went 1-4 with a K.  Connor Narron went 0-3 with a walk.  21 year old Mike Wright went 5 innings, giving up 1 earned run on six hits and two walks, striking out 5 and posting a GB/FB of 7/2.   The 2010 3rd rounder's ERA on the season is 3.77.  Glynn Davis DNP today.  Melewski wrote an entry about the iBirds all-stars, which are 4: Davis, Velleggia, Trent Howard and Dudley Leonora.  I really haven't been following Leonora, so I'll have to change that.  He went 0-3 with a K tonight.

The GCL Orioles game against the GCL Red Sox was suspended after an inning and a half.  Rod Bernadina went 0-1.  Sebastian Vader went 2 scoreless, walking 1.

The DSL Orioles were swept by the DSL Padres today.  In the Game 1 7-2 loss, Alex Mercedes and Byron Capellan each went 0-4 with a K.  Hector Veloz went 0-1 with 2 walks.  They lost Game 2 4-3.  Mercedes went 1-2 and was removed for a pinch hitter.  Capellan went 1-2 with a double and a HBP.  Veloz went 0-3.
