"O"ver the Tigers by 1
THE STORY
The defense was outstanding....all that needs to be said. The O's were great Thursday night, as they try to end the Tigers season, which would be a positive for them. The offense is getting better with power, and they defense is absolutely bedazzling. With the win, they are 11-5 in the previous 16, giving us something to grin about. Call Reimold's game decider what you want, it goes in the book as a win. OK, I'll admit it, I was laughing when I saw this. Why? Because that's just the way the cookie is crumbling for us this year. A Strange and wacky season, as we started in first and wound up last, once again. But I am optimistic as usual, and enjoy what I am seeing in the lineup, especially from Reimold, who currently is hitting 9th. There is lots of chemistry on this team, and with the addition of a few solid players over free agency, I think we go from worst to first in a matter of a few years. JJ Hardy and Adam Jones also homered in this game, and have got to respect both of them. They are keepers, and we would no where without them.
THE RESOLUTION
Add a free agent or two over the winter, while keeping Jones, Wieters, Reimold, and Hardy. This could be the recipe for victory or another disaster.....what do you guys think???

dude, the defense is downright awful, it’s time for a firesale. if the Orioles FO isn’t aware that it’s time to start to build around Bundy and Machado then they’re in some seriously deep shit. keep Wieters, everyone else should be available.

Keeping...
Wieters will stay, and we could definitely get a lot in return for Jones but that is risky. Go out and land an ace like Roy Oswalt, Erik Bedard, Hiroki Kuroda, Mark Buehrle, Edwin Jackson, CJ Wilson, CC Sabathia, or Hisashi Iwakuma from Japan. That’s a pretty solid list of options for SP.

I like Kuroda. He's very underrated. And E. Jackson is good.
Each should be a #3 SP, maybe #2 if they have a god year

Building
We need anything we can get right now, and we build off of that.

I wouldn't mind having any of these guys
Signing one or more of the names on this list (except CC, too expensive) to a small contract would be a much better investment than giving Vlad or D Lee $8-10 mil per year
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Hell yes ,why not?
I still think the Duchscherer (sp?!) signing was a good idea, even if it didn’t work out.

Hold On
I’ll add more input on the postseason tomorrow, as for right now I am still shocked with our division. I HATE THE RED SOX AND LOVE THE RAYS, hahaha
