Frederick beat Potomac in Game 1 of their best of 5 series 6-1. Miguel Abreu and Brian Ward hit back to back homers, Abreu's being a 3 run shot to pace the offense. Prospect wise, Jonathan Schoop went 0-3 with a K. Manny Machado went 1-2 with a double and a walk. Ringer Aaron Baker went 1-3. 24 year old Jacob Pettit continued his winning ways in Frederick, going six innings giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits (a solo homer) and 2 walks, striking out 4 posting a GB/FB of 5/6.
