I just read that the Angels are unlikely to re-sign Torii Hunter. While 2012 was fueled in part by a high BABIP, Hunter's 2011 slash line was slightly below his career averages, and probably represents a conservative 2013 forecast: .262/.336/.429 (with 23 HR). His upside is more like .280/.350/.460, and he grades as a plus defender in right field.
If he would sign a one or two year deal, I would strongly consider bringing Hunter in, and probably playing him in right, while moving Noodle Arm to left. While more expensive, Hunter is a more sure bet than McLouth to provide on base skills and plus defense next year.
