The O's decided to get on with it and non-tendered Mark "Wrapper" (Don't call him Sheriff) Reynolds...

Andy MacPhail acquired Reynolds in 2010 for relievers David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio. While Mickolio has moved on to Japan, Hernandez has been worth 3.4 fWAR to Arizona as an occasional closer and set up man compared to the .8 fWAR Reynolds has posted in Baltimore. Reynolds has hit 60 home runs, struck out 355 times and walked 148 times in his two seasons in Baltimore. The performance of Reynolds at third base left a lot to be desired, but his move across the diamond for a large part of this past season converted a lot of doubters and his propensity for dramatic plays, in a sense, came to embody the improbability of the 2013 Orioles.

Reynolds is now a free agent and while it is possible that the Orioles could still sign him on more team friendly terms, earlier comments suggest he make seek employment on the West Coast.
