Ladies and gents, this is why she is Bowser.
That was great stuff, Stacey. We are lucky O’s fans could be represented by someone intelligent, articulate and interesting to extol our virtues.

100% Awesome.
Great article.

Great stuff!
The one thing I would add, and Stacey can’t really speak to this, because she’s a Baltimore area native, is just how much I love the people of Baltimore.
For someone who has gone to Orioles games all my life, but not being a native of Baltimore or it’s surrounding suburbs, I really appreciate just how friendly and down to earth Baltimoreans are. It’s a huge point of pride for me that I root for a team from Baltimore.

I HATE big cities, but...
I’ve never had a bad time at an Orioles game, at least when it came to my experiences not related to the actual score of the game. Once, you know, I actually find a place to park. After that? Great town! Friendly people! Abundant amount of alcohol at reasonable prices just outside the stadium!
I know Stacey make take some crap for including Pickles, but the bars across the street are a part of the charm. It’s easy to avoid them if you so desire, but if you wanna knock back a few for less than $8 a beer before you go in, it’s 100 yards from the entrance. Music, cheap beer, and there’s more than one place to choose from. Having been to almost a dozen MLB ball parks so far, Pittsburgh is really the only other town I’ve seen that has available bars close to the park that let you actually stand outside and have a conversation.
Awesome article, Stacey. Glad you got to represent O’s fandom!

I know it's been a while for me
But is pickles owned by the same people as the pickles in OC? Cause that bar is the only one I can still stand when I go home.

It's all about the size of the city
Not too big but not too small. I Imagine Pittsburgh is the same way. It’s the reason all the things you’ve listed are able to be part of the experience.

Stacey stole my ideas from twitter!
Nah just kidding. But I did want Natty Boh included pretty badly.

I'm pretty sure OPACY
Is the only MLB stadium with a Natty Boh bar.
Say no to Prince Fielder in 2012.

Where is it? I didn’t see it, but I was only at 1 game last year, my worst Orioles attendance performance since moving back to York.
The bar is on 1st base side, close to the gate on Eutaw
And there is a Boh stand next to the “Pickle’s entrance”. There may be more, but we always sit in the outfield so that’s the only one I saw
Excellent Article
I think an essence of what you wrote is both the past and the hopeful future mingle. I do remember seeing Brooks Robinson and Boog Powell play… and win. And they have remained connected to the Orioles all these years. Yet we also have the local bar, the favorite vendor, the “O”, and the constant hope that THIS will be the year. The year we win it all… meh. The year we beat .500? Could be. The year we eliminate the Yankees or the Red Sox or the Rays on the last day… AMEN!
So eloquent.
Im very happy to have you representing us.

Great stuff
It’s always good to list out the good things, but especially during the rough times. It will indeed be sweet when the O’s are good again.
Good stuff, Stacey.
Glad you put Brooks in there, even over Cal.

Cause The Offseason Wasn't Torture Enough...
You had to remind us expertly of the very best things about baseball in Baltimore.
I’m gonna watch the replay of Dino’s hit off Papelbon another dozen times. Then I’ll cry myself to sleep mumbling Brian Matusz’s 2011 ERA over and over again like a mantra.
Damn you. Stacey.

Great article Stacey
I’m looking forward to Pickles this season as I will finally be 21 by the start of it.
One of the best things about Orioles baseball is it takes place in Baltimore
That may sound overly simplistic, but you tell me a better time than hot day, followed by a warm night with crabs, corn (Silver Queen please), and beer. Oh, and the Orioles on the radio – even if you barely listen much to the game anymore because, well, you know.
