April 25, 2012; Baltimore, MD, USA; Baltimore Orioles catcher Matt Wieters (32) congratulates pitcher Pedro Strop (47) after a game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Orioles defeated the Blue Jays 3 - 0.

With last night's win, the Orioles have secured their second series victory over the Blue Jays this year. Last year they didn't win any and in 2010 they won just one with a sweep, the only three wins over the Blue Jays on the year. It's nice not to roll over to the fourth place team, isn't it?

So the Ravens have Purple Friday and Nancy Cook wants the Orioles to have Orange Wednesday. So many reasons this idea won't get off the ground, including: football games are a weekly event and thus easier to get geared up for, the Ravens are good and the Orioles have been terrible for 1.5 decades, Friday is casual days a lot of workplaces and I can't just wear my O's shirt to work on a Wednesday, orange is color that doesn't find its way into many wardrobes, etc. etc. etc.
