Brian Roberts story continues to unfold

Orioles fans, the Brian Roberts story of 2012 is confusing the hell out of me. A couple months ago I wrote a post concerning Mr. Roberts, asking why the Orioles were keeping him in the dugout when, he was physically unable to take the field. Tonight Brian is in the booth with Gary and Mike and we hear that he is headed to Bowie for rehab assignment. Unbelievable. Is it just me, or did we all think baseball activities would be too much for Brian? Do some of us still think this? Although Xavier Avery has been a real pleasure to watch in his limited big league exposure this year, this team lacks a dependable leadoff hitter. Brian's return is a lot more likely now than it was 2 months ago. What can I say, but if the old Brian comes back it would be huge for the Orioles. I will have to admit I was WAY, WAY off. But hey, I'd be happy to be wrong about that.

Let me know what you think about it Orioles fans. Would Brian's return upset some of the chemistry the team has developed witout him? What should the Orioles do with Robert Andino? Is there any combination of player moves involving Brian Roberts that would solve our problems at third? My initial assessment seems inaccurate, but if I had to take a guess today I'd say we'll be seeing BRob after the All-Star break.
