This poll is one day late to be at the exact halfway point, but it's close enough. The Orioles played their 82nd game last night. For the second time in a week, a starting pitcher was so bad he was demoted to AAA Norfolk within one hour of the conclusion of the game. The O's had a 44-37 record after 81 games, but you would have to be very confident to think they will continue that pace across the second half.

Some things to consider for the O's in the second half of the season:

Will Jason Hammel and Wei-Yin Chen continue to be above-average starters in the American League?

Can Chris Tillman come close to repeating his performance against Seattle when facing a different team in a different stadium?

Will Nick Markakis' return (whenever it happens) do enough to stabilize the offense and outfield defense?

Can the bullpen continue to perform at a "best bullpen ERA in the American League" level?

Will Dan Duquette decide the Orioles are buyers, or will they end up being sellers at the trade deadline?
