Camdencast Episode 39 - Let The Healing Begin

It's been a week since the last podcast, and the Orioles remain one game back of New York in the American League East standings. Though Oakland felt frustrating, they did manage to go 4-2 over a stretch of six straight games against playoff contenders. And most importantly, in recording that lone win in Oakland on Sunday, the O's notched their 82nd win of the year, guaranteeing their first winning season since 1997. An 8-8 record over the final 16 games would get us to dan o'hare-ville.

I was without my usual podcasting partner-in-crime this week, as Andrew was off on the West Coast taking in a Dodgers game and getting up to other mischief. However, I did have the pleasure to be joined by fellow Orioles fan Dan Szymborski, whom you might know from ESPN Insider. In a wide-ranging conversation, we did our best to purge some of the bad memories of the last 14 years of losing so that maybe the healing can finally begin.

This episode is about 1 hour and 15 minutes in length. Dan and I had a lot to say to one another, so the lone break only comes at 1:05, after which I tackled a bit of the Camdencast Comment Box.

I am aware that the sound on the mailbag is not as good as the rest of the episode. Originally this was going to be a bit of an experiment episode but it ended up with the solo mailbag being the only experiment and it wasn't a success. But I didn't want to skip the segment entirely.

Anyway, if you have any general comments about the show or feedback for this particular episode, please let me know in the comments below. We will be back in a week - hopefully with some more winning Orioles baseball to talk about! Take care until then.
