Orioles magic number down to 4 with Angels loss

Hisashi Iwakuma of Seattle out-dueled Dan Haren of the Angels, and then the Mariners bullpen beat out Los Angeles over the closing stretch of the game to send the Angels to a 9-4 defeat.

With the loss by the Angels, the Orioles' magic number to clinch a playoff spot - the combination needed of Orioles wins and Angels losses - is down to 4 with 6 games to play for both teams.

Night games are getting underway now as the Yankees take on the Blue Jays in Toronto, with the Rays set to play the White Sox at 8:10 in Chicago.
