Camden Chat GIF Tournament, Part II: Nate McLouth and Darren O'Day look silly

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Two of my favorite GIFs in the tournament face off in the first round. Sometimes life is just not fair.

Why is it so funny when people fall down? I don't know, it just is. That's the essence of the first GIF in today's matchup. Back on the first day of this tournanment I mentioned that some GIFs just don't stand the test of time, but I don't feel that way about this Nate McLouth GIF. When I re-watched it this time around I laughed and laughed. Because it's funny when people fall down!

It's also funny when pitchers bat. I mean, not all the time. The National League isn't funny, it's sad. But when it's an American League relief pitcher who didn't get pinch hit for because his team is up by seven runs in the ninth, it's hilarious. But don't just trust my judgement on it. Check out the reactions of the Orioles in the dugout as Darren O'Day strikes out. Good stuff.

The Nate Slide is from August 26th, the same edition of GIFs of the Week that gave us yesterday's winner, Attaboy. Darren O'Day's impressive at bat debuted on August 12th.

Voting will last until 11 a.m. on November 4th.
