The affiliates go four for six, with Norfolk being off, Frederick losing and Delmarva splitting another twin bill. Both DSL teams and Bowie won...But let's look at the prospects!

Norfolk was off.

Behind Eddie Gamboa, the Baysox won 6-0. Gamboa must have had his knuckler working, as he shut out Reading for 7 seven strong innings, giving up 3 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6 with a GB/FB of 7/3. He threw 3 wild pitches and picked off a baserunner. Jason Gurka followed him up with 2 scoreless, allowing a hit and a walk, striking out 2 with a GB/FB of 3/1. Henry Urrutia went 2-3 with a walk. Ty Kelly went 1-4 with a walk.

Frederick lost 5-1. Nicky Delmonico went 0-4 as the DH. Christian Walker went 0-3 with a walk and a K. Brenden Webb 0-4 with 3 Ks.

Delmarva lost Game 1 3-1. Juan Guzman had a nice outing, giving up 1 ER in 6 IP on 4 hits and a walk, striking out 5 with a GB/FB of 6/2. Mychal Givens managed to give up 2 ER on 2 walks (no hits) in 1 IP with a GB/FB of 3/1 (there was a fielder's choice that did not result in an out, which is why the GB/FB totals more than the outs recorded). Adrian Marin went 1-3. Torsten Boss went 2-4 with a K. Joel Hutter went 0-2 and was removed during the game. The Shorebirds won Game 2 3-2. Lex Rutledge drew the start and gave up an unearned run in 3 IP, yielding 1 hit, striking out 7, walking none, recording a GB/FB of 3/0. The Hobgoblin picked up a win with a clean sheet in one inning, recording three ground ball outs. Boss went 0-3 with a K. Neither Hutter nor Marin played in Game 2.

The original DSLers won 3-2. Rochendrick Alexander went 0-3. Victor Medina went 1-4 with a double and a K.

The other DSLers won 4-1. 18 y/o Dominican righty Francisco Jimenez gave up 1 ER in 6 IP on 3 hits (1 HR), striking out 8, walking none, with a GB/FB of 4/1. He did hit 2 batters. 18 y/o Venezuelan shortstop Jacniel Cabrera went 1-3 with a double, a walk and 2 Ks. It was his season debut.
