Orioles vs Red Sox lineups and game preview for 9/29

Joy R. Absalon-USA TODAY Sports

Game 162 has arrived. In a few hours we'll have nothing left to look forward but the series finale of Breaking Bad.

The Red Sox have clinched home field advantage through the playoffs, so they're giving a few guys rest today. Here is their lineup:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF

2. Xander Bogaerts (R) SS

3. David Ortiz (L) DH

4. Mike Napoli (R) 1B

5. Mike Carp (L) LF

6. Will Middlebrooks (R) 3B

7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia (S) C

8. John McDonald (R) 2B

9. Quintin Berry (L) RF

They were originally scheduled to have John Lackey pitching, but with this game meaning absolutely nothing to them and the playoffs looming, they have turned to Allen Webster. Webster came to the Red Sox in the Nick Punto trade with the Dodgers. Here are his 2013 stats:

2013 9.55 7 6 1 27.1 37 30 7 15 21 44 1.902 2.3 4.9 6.9

And who are the Orioles sending out for their final game? They had talked of giving Chris Tillman the final start off, but they're moving forward with him. Tillman has made 32 starts this season and passed the 200 IP threshold last Tuesday against the Blue Jays. In 201 1/3 innings pitched he has a 3.62 ERA. It's been a pretty good season for Chris and I think it's fitting that he gets to end the season for the Orioles.

Here is the final lineup for 2013 for your Baltimore Orioles:

1. Brian Roberts (S) DH

2. Nick Markakis (L) RF

3. J.J. Hardy (R) SS

4. Chris Davis (L) 1B

5. Steve Pearce (R) LF

6. Nate McLouth (L) CF

7. Danny Valencia (R) 3B

8. Steve Clevenger (L) C

9. Jonathan Schoop (R) 2B

No Adam Jones or Matt Wieters, which makes sense since the game doesn't matter but also is kind of a bummer since it's the last game of the season.

Chris Davis' OPS is 1.003 going into the last game of the season. He has a pretty good chance of finishing over 1.000, which would be cool.

Let's go O's!
