So, last night sucked, but as Mad Men's Don Draper might say, it never happened. It will shock you how much it never happened. If only that were true and bullpen meltdowns could be erased. Being the professional athletes they are, they do have to forget, but everything that happened is still in the statistics and in the standings.
Today's game is its own challenge. The Orioles failed the challenge the last time they went up against Dustin McGowan, who's starting again tonight. It wasn't pretty at all, especially since he has basically stunk in his other two starts this year.
There are good things going for the Orioles today. This is probably the ideal lineup for this team, at least until Manny Machado gets back - and he's starting his rehab in Frederick on Friday, so he is on the day, barring any setbacks. Matt Wieters is back, J.J. Hardy is back. Maybe things can start going in the right direction, like back to a .500 record, for starters. They're going behind their best starter so far this season. Just don't waste the game because of something stupid. Pretty please?
