The Orioles are having a good year BUT......

Why should I complain? First place.... Exciting games.... Offense coming up with timely hits. However, yes there is a however.... Something just doesn't feel right. Call me Captain pessimism or King Crabby but I just can't deal with some of these games, situations, and especially players. First and foremost Tommy Hunter cannot continue to be our closer. Every time he comes into a game the Orioles are in jeopardy of blowing a lead. Not a small chance.... I'm talking 50/50. He gets hit and hit hard. Leadoff hitters reach 65% of the time against him. His saves are the ones that come by way of the rulebook definition of a save. Even those are 2 and 3 run leads help on to by way of divine intervention.

Next I bring up Ryan Flaherty. This guy is not a big league hitter. He's what they call a rally killer. Always down in the count 0-2 then either strikes out or grounds weekly to second . now I understand that Buck cannot stack our lineup with the same guys EVERY game but I'm certain there is another way without this douche.

My final complaint in this venting session is Adam Jones. I know I'm playing with fire here as Mr Jones is a local favorite but is it me or does he more times than not take a first pitch strike then swing wildly at the next..... However many pitches it takes for him to get out either via the K or a pop-up.

I needed this for me. Every game is an ordeal. They never put a team away. Though, on the other hand, they're never out of a game it seems either. I'm just hoping the other shoe doesn't drop. Because if it does... It most certainly will come from one of those three. My money is on shoeless Tommy Hunter. Buck.... Insert Darren O'Day into the closers roll before Mr Hunter starts a fire that can't be put out. Go O's.
