Pitchers | ||
Brad Brach | Solid in relief, cleaning up for Tillman, et al.
Zach Britton | Two for two on save opportunities, but then again, so was Hunter.....
Wei-Yin Chen | Did not have his best stuff against Cleveland this week. Five runs allowed on eight hits and only one strikeout.
Miguel Gonzalez | Back-to-back wins and only four earned runs allowed in 12 innings.
Preston Guilmet | 3.1 scoreless innings, but returned to the minors anyway.
Ubaldo Jimenez | Saturday's performance looked far more like his April outings than his May outings.
Brian Matusz | Called on to pitch quite a bit and kept them from scoring. Used in more than his traditional LH specialist role, as well.
T.J. McFarland | He is what he is and it's nothing exciting.
Bud Norris | Made it through 6 innings and allowed four runs. Spent most of the game working out of jams.
Darren O'Day | Darren goes boom?
Troy Patton | Shipped off to San Diego for a backup catcher.
Chris Tillman | Any bets on how long he has until he ends up on the DL?
Ryan Webb | Shaky start to the season, but he's shaped up since. Did struggle some in a chance to get a decision on Wednesday.
Catchers | ||
Steve Clevenger | Technically the starter with Wieters out, but he's splitting time behind the plate with Joseph.
Nick Hundley | Acquired this week from San Diego.
Caleb Joseph | Struggling to find a stroke at the plate.
Infielders | ||
Chris Davis | Heating up in a big way after his oblique injury. Eight hits this week and four were homers.
Ryan Flaherty | Extremely limited playing time, but he had a homer and a double this week.
J.J. Hardy | Big week numbers wise (10 hits, 4 RBI), but he's still homer-less, nor is he getting the extra base hits.
Steve Lombardozzi | Recently recalled from AAA Norfolk because Machado is dealing with a groin injury.
Manny Machado | Day-to-day with a groin injury, but it didn't keep him from homer on Sunday.
Steve Pearce | Doesn't get a lot of playing time, but makes it count when he does (6-9, 1 2B, 2 RBI).
Jonathan Schoop | Really struggling at the plate and is now down to .583 OPS after just four hits in 22 AB.
Outfielders | ||
Nelson Cruz | Well, he's getting paid to hit homers and he's doing just that with another four this week.
Adam Jones | Incredibly slow start to the season, but his average is creeping back toward to .300 and his OBP is now up above .300 for the first time in a while.
David Lough | Sinking Lough-er and Lough-er into the hole he's dug himself. If he wasn't the only CF replacement, I'm not entirely sure he'd still be in the MLB.
Nick Markakis | Quality week relative to the standard Markakis-ian week (9 hits, but just two for XBH). He had a homer, though!
Delmon Young | Limited playing time with the interleague games.
Disabled List | ||
Tommy Hunter | DL'd with a |
|
Nolan Reimold | He played an actual game (extended spring training) and didn't get hurt. Progress!
Matt Wieters | He claims his elbow is improving. We'll see. Happy thoughts. |
