The good news is that the Orioles got the loss out of the way so that, since they don't do long winning streaks, maybe they can start winning again. The bad news is that the Orioles also love to prove they're a .500 team, so another loss to the fourth place Red Sox is basically just the kind of thing that they would do, especially given that the game will be started by Ubaldo Jimenez. They'd need to lose a few to get back to .500, but we all know they're up to the task.
Manny Machado is back from his suspension. Here's hoping that he continues the hot hitting he had before the five game vacation. The vandal David Ortiz is also back after missing the afternoon game to attend his daughter's high school graduation in the Dominican Republic.
This game is on Fox. Remember, there is no more national Fox blackout this season, so if you are out of market and not getting this game, you should be able to watch if you're an MLB.tv subscriber.
