The Orioles lost last night, but thanks to losses by both the Blue Jays and Yankees, they didn't lose any ground in the A.L. East. They'll be trying to avoid back-to-back losses, and they'll be relying on Ubaldo Jimenez. Oy.
In his last start, Ubaldo was serviceable, but not necessarily good. He got the quality start, which I suppose is the best you can hope for. He'll be starting in his old ballpark for the first time since he left the Indians, so hopefully he can recapture some of that magic that helped him pitch so well last year.
Pitching for the Indians is Carlos Carrasco, who has mostly been a relief pitcher this season. In five starts this year he has pitched to a 5.67 ERA and had an opposing batter line of .257/.325/.376. The ERA is ugly but the slash line isn't bad. No Oriole has faced the right-hander more than six times.
