If you found yourself panicking that this two-game losing streak is the start of a crushing choke job by the Orioles, you're not alone. It's just the nature of being an Orioles fan, I suppose.
Kevin Gausman takes the mound today and the Orioles need him to be the stopper. He won't be pitching to his regular catcher, as Caleb Joseph is being given the day game off after last night. Will that affect Gausman? Hopefully not. T.J. House was originally scheduled to pitch this finale, but the Indians have switched to Danny Salazar. Salazar has been up and down this year between the Indians an Triple-A, and was called up just today to start. That makes me nervous.
The Orioles have some weird AL Central-itis, having gone just 9-16 against teams in the division, while dominating both the AL East and AL West. What is that about?
