Norfolk TIdes 5, Toldeo Mud Hens 3
In his nine starts this season, lefty Chris Jones has yest to allow more than three earned runs. Today's effort was a workmanlike seven inning outing in which he allowed three earned runs and a homer, but he didn't walk anyone and he struck out five. Pedro Beato picked up the save. Dariel Alvarez continued mashing. The Cuban outfielder doubled and homered, while Christian Walker and Rey Navarro also doubled. Walker's double was his team leading 18th.

The Baysox scored three runs in the eighth to defeat the Thunder and preserve their sweep. Terry Doyle struck out seven and induced eight groundouts over seven innings. Trey Mancini hit his third homer since his call up to AA (.698 SLG in that stretch) while Drew Dosh managed his first extra base hit (a double) since making the leap. Glynn Davis stole two bases and Ben Rowen vultured a win.
Frederick Keys 0, Wilmington Blue Rocks 6
In completing a suspended game from Saturday night...well, things didn't really get any better for the Keys.
Frederick Keys 1, Wilmington Blue Rocks 6
Is there an echo in here? Luis Gonzalez was MOSTLY good but lost the plot in the seventh. The Dominican lefty's ERA now stands at 8.11. Ouch. The offense was...offensive.
Delmarva Shorebirds 3, Hagerstown Suns 6
Brian Gonzalez had a tough outing. Gonzalez walked three and allowed five hits in 3.2 innings. Derek Peterson homered and has slashed .319/.347/.574 this season, but is fairly old for the South Atlantic League at 24. Steve Wilkerson doubled and singled to push his OBP back up over .400.
Aberdeen Ironbirds vs. Hudson Valley Renegades
In completing a game suspended from Saturday night, the Ironbirds went 15 innings with the Renegades, but lost 2-1. After three seasons at the GCL and in winter ball, Kevin Grendell pitched three innings for the Ironbirds and was decent...aside from the loss. In regularly scheduled action, the Renegades beat up on the O's foreign legion. Francisco Jimenez and Yi-Hsiang Lin allowed nine earned runs in six innings. Former USD closer Max Homick struck out two in a shutout inning.
