In an effort to minimize the level of inconvenience for Orioles fans and Baltimore Grand Prix planners, the Orioles, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, have moved the start time of their September 1 game against the Toronto Blue Jays from 7:05 p.m. to 12:35 p.m.

Just a reminder that the Futures Game is being played starting now on ESPN2. Jonathan Schoop is on the World Team and Manny Machado is on the US Team.

The Orioles announced after tonight’s game that they have optioned RHP JASON BERKEN to Triple-A Norfolk.

Berken appeared in 15 games for the Orioles and was 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA (17.0IP, 15ER).

A corresponding roster move will be announced at a later time.

ORIOLES-RANGERS GAME POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN

Single-admission doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow at 4:35 p.m. Tonight’s game between the Orioles and Texas Rangers has been postponed due to rain. The teams will play a single-admission doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 4:35 p.m. Tickets for tonight’s game may be exchanged for seats of equal value for tomorrow’s doubleheader or any remaining non-prime home game during the 2011 season, subject to availability. Ticket exchanges must be made by May 31. Student Night tickets may be exchanged for tomorrow’s game or any other non-prime Friday home game during the 2011 season. Tickets for tomorrow’s game will be valid for both games of the doubleheader.

It should be a quality weekend of baseball.

Jeremy Guthrie, who beat the Rays with eight shutout innings on Opening Day, is in danger of missing his scheduled Wednesday start with a viral infection EDIT: Buck said in his post-game comments it's a form of pneumonia and Guthrie is expected back in 5-7 days, hoping for the April 10 start.
