Orioles off night open sports thread: Thursday

The Orioles are off on Thursday night, but that won't stop us from being around to talk about whatever is going on. Maybe the Red Sox will lose. That would make it a good night.

Rays @ Orioles. Wednesday afternoon game thread.

The rainout gave extra time for the Orioles to get healthy, which is good, and also means that they will not see David Price in this particular Rays series, which is also good. Now it's time for some afternoon baseball.

Orioles rained out on Tuesday - open thread

The Orioles are rained out on Tuesday night, which sucks. There is still some other baseball to watch, if you like.

Rays @ Orioles. Series opening game thread.

Orioles hitters try to stop sucking against Chris Archer and the Rays. Remains to be seen whether they are successful in this endeavor.

Orioles vs Blue Jays Gamethread

Can the Orioles win their second consecutive series? Let's hope the good Ubaldo shows up.

Jays @ O's: Please be good, Bud Norris

Last night was one of those bad losses. I find myself scared at the thought of relying on Bud Norris to help us feel better tonight. Chat about the game here!

Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles, 7:05

Our #1 starter is going against their starter who hasn't contributed regularly since '08. Feels confident, right?

Orioles off night open thread

The Orioles aren't playing tonight, but there's still baseball to watch, and we'll be here watching it.

Baltimore Orioles - New York Yankees 4/9 7:05

The Orioles take on the new Yankee Japanese import to earn the first series win of 2014. Hope Gonzalez remembers what it's like to pitch against them back in 2012.

O's @ Yankees. Last of the day games (for now).

Maybe Orioles baseball will start being fun again today. The odds aren't looking very good, though, because Delmon Young is batting second against the Yankees.

O's @ Yankees. What's with all these day games?

Can the Orioles spoil the Yankees home opener and make it a modest two-game winning streak? It'll be Ubaldo Jimenez starting for the O's against Hiroki Kuroda for New York.

Game 4 thread: O's @ Tigers, 1:08.

An altered Orioles lineup takes the field for a bizarre Friday afternoon game early in the season. The O's will be facing fourth place Cy Young finisher Anibal Sanchez after getting in to Detroit at 4am or later. What could go wrong?

Game 3 thread: Red Sox @ Orioles, 7:05

Your starting pitchers are Wei-Yin Chen and Felix Doubront as the Orioles take on the Red Sox in the finale of their opening series. A third of the O's lineup completely sucks against Doubront. What could go wrong?

Game 2 thread: Red Sox @ Orioles, 7:05pm

Ubaldo Jimenez makes his Orioles debut on Wednesday night. The O's lineup will go up against John Lackey of the Red Sox, against whom many of them have struggled. Wire-to-wire and undefeated seasons are still alive - for now.

Opening Day game thread: Red Sox @ Orioles

The regular season is finally here. Thank goodness. Go Orioles.

World Series Game 6 Thread: Sox potential clincher

Please make sure to have a convenient receptacle handy should the Red Sox clinch in World Series Game 6 on Wednesday night. You may want to barf. Michael Wacha starts for the Cardinals against John Lackey.

World Series Game 5, Monday Night Open Thread

After a couple of unlikely ends to games, the Red Sox and Cardinals are back in action in the World Series for Game 5 on Monday night. In a rematch from Game 1, Jon Lester starts against Adam Wainwright.

Sunday Night Sports Open Thread

The World Series continues on Sunday night after a wild Saturday finisher left the Cardinals up two games to one in the series. Clay Buchholz takes the mound for the Boston Red Sox, with Lance Lynn starting for St. Louis.

World Series Game 3: The Hooey in St. Louie

The World Series resumes in St. Louis on Saturday night with the series tied at one game apiece. Jake Peavy starts for the Boston Red Sox, with Joe Kelly starting for the Cardinals.

World Series Game 2: Cards try to even up series

The St. Louis Cardinals will try, probably in vain, to prove that they play baseball in the National League. They trail 1-0 in the World Series as they take on the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Thursday night. The game will air at 8pm on Fox.

World Series Game 1 Thread: Who do you hate less?

Game 1 of the World Series comes on at 8pm on FOX. Adam Wainwright starts for the National League champion Cardinals, with Jon Lester starting for the American League champion Red Sox.

ALCS Game 6: Tigers @ Sox; Bos. up 3-2 in series

The Tigers try to force a decisive Game 7 in the American League Championship Series when they play the Red Sox on Saturday night. Likely Cy Young winner Max Scherzer will start against Clay Buchholz in the 8pm game on FOX.

NLCS Game 6: Dodgers @ Cardinals; STL leads 3-2

The Dodgers try to stave off elimination against the Cardinals in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series in St. Louis on Friday night.

ALCS Game 5: Red Sox @ Tigers; series tied 2-2

On Thursday, you can either watch a crappy football game or Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, tied at two games apiece between the Tigers and Red Sox. Is it really a choice? The game airs at 8 on Fox.

Wednesday League Championship Series Thread

NLCS Game 5, with the Cardinals going to clinch, starts at 4 on TBS. ALCS Game 4, with Boston holding a 2-1 series lead, starts at 8 on FOX.

Tuesday League Championship Series Action

ALCS Game 3 at 4 on Fox and NLCS Game 4 at 8 on TBS.
