Reds closer Cordero has surgery

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Cincinnati closer Francisco Cordero will miss the final three games of the season after he had arthroscopic surgery on Friday to remove a bone spur from his right foot.
The surgery was performed by team medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek in Cincinnati.
On the season, the 33-year-old went 5-4 with a 3.33 ERA in 72 games. He had 34 saves out of 40 chances and finished his campaign by saving his last 14 opportunities.
The Reds close out their season with a three-game set in St. Louis.
