Frederick Keys win Carolina League Championship
The Frederick Keys won their first Carolina League Championship in 15 years. They beat the defending champion Kinston Indians in a decisive Game 5, 2-0 to capture their first Mills cup since 1990. Keys pitcher Brian Finch went five innings, striking out five, and forced the Indians to go 0-9 with runners in scoring position for the win. He combined with relievers, Garrett Olson (whom started and won game 2), Chris Britton, and, Marino Salas on the shutout.
1B Mario Delgado lead off the second with a home run and RF Nolan Reimold doubled, DH Dustin Yount walked and both advanced on 3B Brian Bass's sacrifice bunt. Reimold then scored the only other run care of C Brain Bock's RBI groundout. More from the Baltimore Oriole website.
