Around SBN: Bills must alter strategy to make offense work

It's a celebration!

Congratulations, Cal, and let's not forget Tony Gwynn, hero of Gaslamp Ball.

Most of us probably won't live to see another "Iron Man," but I think overlooked is the fact that with conditioning and marketing and the fetish for guys who look like athletes still prevelant, it's going to be quite a while before we see another fat little right fielder poke the ball wherever he pleases over 3,000 times.

Two great players, two Hall of Famers.

I really wish I could have made it to Cooperstown
Not only because Cal Ripken is my favorite player, but because he's probably going to be the last Oriole to hit the hall of fame for a looooong time.

I made it there...
I only live about an hour from the Hall of Fame.  My buddy works for a local news station and got us press passes.  We got to sit about 20 rows back for the induction ceremony.  Awesome.

National Anthem
That might've been the loudest O I've heard during the anthem. Tony Gwynn's daughter sang it and didn't look too surprised, so they must've warned her.

Hey guys!
I'm home from Cooperstown, and am pretty drained in every way. It was unbelievably awesome. I'll write more about it later, and post some pics. Now is time for bed.
We all love Kevin Millar. Let's all stop acting like everyone here doesn't know that Millar is the shit. He is. He is the shit. Millar is our boy. -SC

I just got back
It was friggen awesome. I took my son, Cal, up to see his namesake inducted. Needless to say, he was impressed. At least for a one year old.

And yeah, that "O" during the anthem was tremendous. I also appreciated to massive booing of Bud Selig.

"Baltimore? That's like being hit in the head with a crowbar once a day."

Were you the guy
holding the sign that said, "My son's name is Cal because of you" they kept showing on the big screen?

Bob Ryan..
of the Boston Globe was covering for Tony and Mike on PTI. He pointed out that the biggest crowds in HoF induction ceremonies always happen when an Oriole is inducted. He went on to mention that the O's have a very loyal following before being repeatedly interrupted by patty mcenroe.
