Pirates hire Tracy, A-Rod owns up

Jim Tracy signed a three-year deal to manage the Pirates. No word on the money yet, but it's expected to be more than the $700,000 he would have made with the Dodgers. None of the Pirates coaches will be brought back unless Tracy wants them, apparently. I think this is a pretty decent hire, but we'll see. The Pirates have some signs of life, but they've had them before too.

I think this headline says it all, so I won't go further than the link: A-Rod: 'I played like a dog the last five days'
