Yep. The Chicago White Sox, the team I had finishing fourth in the crappy AL Central. I figured the White Sox this year had to either shit or get off the pot. They're going to the World Series, so I guess that means they achieved the former.
Their starting pitching is pretty phenomenal right now, and Contreras in particular is just out of this world as compared to the old New York Contreras. They've got a seriously rested bullpen heading into the World Series.
Paul Konerko is the ALCS MVP, which should only jack up his price if he decides to test the free agent market.
The Astros went up 3-1 in the NLCS today and have the Cardinals on the ropes considering the remainder of the series, the Cards will have to face Pettitte, Oswalt and Clemens if they can stretch it out to seven. Beating those three guys in a row would be awfully hard to do.
