ESPN is going with a story that says the Red Sox have contacted Roger Clemens' agents to see if he'd like to return to Boston for the 2006 season, and Clemens is supposedly open to the idea. For now, he seems to want to pitch next year. He can't negotiate with Houston until May 1, 2006, and the Rangers are close to his home but don't have a realistic shot at winning anything. The Yankees will probably get into contact with him sometime, too.
I think it'd be cool to see Clemens go back to Boston. I wouldn't necessarily expect it, but it's an interesting story.
