Game time is 7:05. This one was supposed to be on CSN but apparently now isn't, so I won't see it and I have no idea if it's on any Baltimore TV at all.
Chacin has been very effective over his first five starts, with only one of them even so much as rocky, a six-inning, four-run outing against the Yankees that also is his only loss. His walks have been low, he's not giving up many hits, and he's just getting it done. He's 24 and wears his sunglasses at night.
Roddy Lopez's ERA shot up two runs after getting shelled by the Red Sox last time out. He's had three great starts, one pretty bad one, and one that was horrible. I trust Lopez the same as I always have, enough for him to be a third starter. This team still lacks a number one starter, and Lopez has been slightly lucky this season overall, with a 1.45 WHIP that is nothing to get excited about. He's seemed like he teetered on the brink of implosion more than I care for, but as long as the results are there, he can teeter all he wants. Just don't fall.
Melvin Mora sums it up best: "It's crazy. This team is crazy."
